queerplanet.net was founded in Syndney in the early 2000′s by web mogul Andrew Stopps and is believed to be one of Australia’s first widespread LGBT media outlets.

In 2011, queerplanet.net joined the GaySocialites.com family at which time all operations were moved to New York, NY.  Together the two websites formed the GaySocialites Media Group.

Today, queerplanet.net is a gay news aggregator that searches the world for gay news, so you don’t have to!

Queerplanet.net and GaySocialites.com were no strangers to one another prior to joining forces.  They shared a common factor in Charles Winters who worked at queerplanet as a general assignment report and later as the Regional Director for North America prior to launching GaySocialites.com in October of 2005.
