VIDEO: Extraordinary contributions cited during 6th Annual GaySocialites.com Awards

On Christmas night, I had the honor of co-hosting the 6th Annual GaySocialites.com Awards Presentation Special along side Demanda Dahling.

This year, voters got to weigh in on six categories to mark GaySocialites.com‘s Sixth Anniversary. Winners received citations in the areas of entertainment, nightlife, online, community service as well as recognition for one celebrity who wasn’t afraid to speak up for the LGBT community.

You watch the entire awards presentation here. It’s only about 10 minuites or so and contains a video contribute to each winner as well as a performance by Demanda Dahling.

The special debuted on Sunday evening and is available on-demand at GaySocialites.com. We will publish a list of the winners in the near future. Meanwhile, watch the video above!

Only a few days to vote in GaySocialites.com Awards, announcement party next week in NYC

Voting is currently underway over at our sister site, GaySocialites.com, for their annual awards.  There are only a few days left to vote, and that’s because they’ll be hosting a party on Monday, December 19th to announce the winners.

This year, the GaySocialites.com Awards will honor members of the LGBT community in six categories: entertainment, nightlife, online, community service, celebrity and their most prestigious honor -GaySocialite of the Year.

The GaySocialites are inviting everyone to attend a cocktail party on Monday at Vlada Lounge in New York City where they will announce this year’s winners.

In addition to honoring the award winners, the party will also debut the new GaySocialite Signature Cocktail and feature music by PhDJ.

Voting begins in 2011 GaySocialites.com Awards

This isn’t exactly abnormal news nor odd information… more like Shameless Self Promotion.  Our sister site, GaySocialites.com, kicked off their annual awards voting this year.

For the 2011 GaySocialites.com, voters get to pick the GaySocialite of the Year, a celebrity who has promoted LGBT rights, in addition to presenting citations for contributions to LGBT nightlife, online community, entertainment and through leadership or service.

“We’ve nominated those we feel have done an outstanding job this year, and we hope you feel the same,” said GaySocialites.com’s Editor-in-Chief Thomas Bistritz.

Nominees include gay porn start Brent Everett, king of sleaze Daniel Nardicio, BoxersNYC nightclub, Lady Gaga, Jane Lynch, musical artist Wynter Gordon, transgender performer Dina Marie and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Bistritz added, “Please vote on your favorites, as often as you’d like, and join us in celebrating an exciting year in the LGBT community.”

The voting will take place over the next few weeks at GaySocialites.com.  Anyone with a valid e-mail address is invited to vote.
